Now Sing, My Lovelies

Darlings, sing, and open-throated, send
your voices, winged with high-flown praise,
and raise, not merely roofs, but sky; fling high
your hearts, and hail the coming King,
His Kingdom come, here now among, now in
each one and all; then hear the Infant call,
His phoenix-hearted cry, “Come watch me live
and die with me, and, oh, my lovelies, rise!”
